Cheap How Not to Look Old: Fast and Effortless Ways to Look 10 Years Younger, 10 Pounds Lighter, 10 Times Better

This book is definitely geared toward: 1) women who know nothing at all about style; 2) women with plenty of money; and 3) women who subscribe to the very thin blonde ideal.

About half of her advice is excellent, for example: wear your natural nails; and wear modern, flattering eyeglasses. Good advice but you probably already know that if you read any fashion magazines or books.

Unfortunately she also has some strong biases towards a certain type of female beauty. She recommends that all women lighten their hair and says that being blonde is her own best characteristic. She insists that older women should wear pink lipstick and pink lipgloss and dedicates an entire chapter to "shapewear" which, for those who fortunately remain un-indoctrinated, is the modern word for "girdle". If you are not a very light-skinned white person or if you prefer to avoid stuffing your body into a sausage-casing torture device then you will probably respond the same way I did: "What year is this again?"

Recommended if you really do not know anything at all about style and don't mind old-fashioned, "never too thin" and "never to blonde" advice. Otherwise skip this book.Get more detail about How Not to Look Old: Fast and Effortless Ways to Look 10 Years Younger, 10 Pounds Lighter, 10 Times Better.
