Lowest Price Nourishing Traditions: The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats

Wow, this book is interesting, in-depth, and just plain educational. The first part of the book is "active-brain" reading, not to be tackled when you're sleepy. I have read a lot of nutrition books on my quest to eat and live as healthily as possible. This one tops them all, backed by scientific and biological explanations of what is really happening in your body with the food we throw at it. After reading this, I ran right out and picked up a grass-fed beef roast, threw it in the crock-pot with organic carrots, onions and celery, and we had a delightful meal without feeling guilty. We had been trying to avoid red meat, but no more. This book will influence my shopping and meal preparation from now on. I'm even anxious to try some of the more time-consuming, labor-intensive recipes. You can't jump right into a lot of these recipes. It takes some time to gear yourself up to trying some of these, but I think that's part of the fun. Great book.Get more detail about Nourishing Traditions: The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats.
