Order Hellhound On His Trail

This book will put you there--on the hotel balcony with Martin Luther King, Jr., and in the grimy community bathroom of the rundown rooming house where James Earl Ray fired the shot that killed the great leader of the Civil Rights movement. This book is a gripping read from start to finish. It is a brilliant writer and historian at his shining, gleaming best. I enjoyed this book tremendously. It's one of those rare and wonderful books that you just don't want to put down.

But what about all the conspiracy theories associated with Dr. King's assassination? That's what I kept asking myself as I read it. Unfortunately, Hampton sides ignores them as though they do not exist. And therein lies the one great weakness of this otherwise excellent book. Sides should have given a brief examination of these theories at the very least. Ignoring them doesn't make them go away. This makes what should be a five-star book into a four-star one.Get more detail about Hellhound On His Trail.
